CLYST VALLEY CHORAL SOCIETY

1968 - 2008

April this year saw us celebrate the society's 40^th Anniversary and Paul’s 10^th Anniversary as Musical Director.

Our concerts included the glorious Stabat Mater by Rossini as well as a selection of our favourites from the past 10 years:

The Heavens are Telling from Haydn’s Creation

Badgers and Hedgehogs from Andrew Carter’s Benedicite

Pie Jesu from Rutter’s Requiem

Trumpet solo from Charpentier’s Te Deum

An ensemble of accomplished musicians with David House on the organ accompanied choir and soloists, and and we were pleased to welcome musicians who had been involved with the society throughout its 40 years.

Our next season starts on Thursday 11th September at 7.30 in Clyst St. Mary Church, when we will be pleased to welcome new choir members. Details of the music will be posted here nearer the time, and further information may be obtained from info@clystvalleychoral.org.uk
